Gestalten, 2020-2022
Gestalten explores the migration of analogue nature photography into digital space. Images of untouched landscapes are projected onto amorphous 3D models, merging organic visual texture with synthetic form. This convergence produces surfaces that appear hypernatural—visually rich yet structurally ambiguous. The work reflects on how digital systems absorb and aestheticize fragments of the natural world, creating representations that are both seductive and detached. It raises questions about material translation, simulation, and the shifting status of the photographic image in virtual environments.
