Proxy Frames, 2025
4 Inkjet prints, each 30x40cm
mounted and framed in aluminium
Drawing on the spatial principles of the diorama, Proxy Frames explores how representations of natural environments can be constructed, staged, and ultimately unmade. Sculpted from concrete, veiled in cotton, organic and industrial references merge into miniature landforms that sit ambiguously between plausibility and artifice.
While the images resemble the visual language of romantic landscape photography, subtle shifts in scale and material integrity challenge the credibility the photographs initially suggest.
